Tomasek signs with the Warriors to play basketball
Skyla Tomasek signed with Rochester University to continue her education and play basketball for the Warriors.
Skyla, a resident of Huntington attended Norwell HS, other sports she participated in were volleyball, soccer, basketball and track.
Tomasek was also recruited by Anderson, Indiana State University, Goshen College, Spring Arbor University, Maine Maritime Academy
before choosing Rochester.
Some of the reasons she made her choice was, home and family-oriented School. RU is small and successful with a 9-1 student teacher ratio, and has both my majors.
Top memories for school and or home.
My favorite memories come from playing summer basketball with girls from other local schools.
These girls have become some of my closest friends and we will always be bonded by basketball and all the shenanigans we have had the last 6 years +. Look forward to competing against them the next 4 years.
Do you have someone that gave you some advice that changed your life.
One thing that has always stuck in my head when I was training at Trufit with Brice, he said. “If a coach is not yelling at you or talking to you they no longer care and have given up on you. Keep working”
