Norwell HS Honors Senior Swimmers

Notches win against DeKalb




CASSIE COYNE – Cassie is the daughter of Kerry & Tracy Coyne.

 

Cassie has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years.  She swam on the Otters swim team and Wells Community swim team for eight years.  Cassie has been a two year member of National Honor Society. She also has been an active member of St. Joseph Catholic church youth group for three years.

 

Cassie’s favorite swim memories were the fun Christmas break practices and the New Years glow stick practice.



Cassie’s future plans include attending Shawnee State University to pursue an Elementary Education degree in hopes of becoming a fourth grade teacher and continue her swim career. Cassie would like to thank all her coaches and family for always supporting her swimming over the years.

 


PARKER MCCARTNEY – Parker is the son Matt & Bekah McCartney.

 

Parker has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years. He ran cross country for three years and will compete in track for his fourth season this spring. Parker has been a member of Boys Scouts for fours years. He has been active in Campus Life for three years.

Parker’s favorite swim memory was going outside in his swimsuit and jumping into a 4 foot pile of snow with his team.

 

Parker’s future plans are undecided at this time. Parker would like to thank Coach Scott for being an amazing coach.

 

KARRIGAN MELCHER – Karrigan is the daughter of Tim & Marcey Melcher.


Karrigan has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years. She played soccer for four years and will compete in track this spring for her fourth season.  Karrigan has been involved in Champions Together for four years and Champion 101 for two years. She is a ten year member of 4-H. Karrigan has been involved in Student Council for four years, Riley Dance Marathon for two years and has been a two year member of National Honor Society.

 

Karrigan’s favorite swim memories were all the team dinners, and Justin’s little games during practice to make them fun.


Karrigan’s future plans include attending the University of Southern Indiana to pursue a Diagnostic Medical Imaging degree. Karrigan would like to thank her coaches for always pushing her to be better and being consistent with what they want her to fix. Lastly, a special thanks to her family for being at every meet and always supporting her throughout these four years.


EMERSON MEREDITH – Emerson is the daughter of Mike & Julie Meredith.

 

Emerson has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years. She ran cross country for two years, played soccer for two years and will compete in track and field for her fourth season this spring. Emerson swam for the Otters swim team for five years and Wells Community swim team for nine years. She has been involved in Student Council for two years. Emerson has been active in Bluffton Nazarene youth group for six years.

 

Emerson’s favorite swim memories were going to state her freshmen and sophomore year and Ryleigh Huffman’s Bellmont story. 

 

Emerson’s future plans include attending Taylor University to pursue an Elementary Education degree. Emerson would like to thank her coaches for all the work they put into the swim and dive program, her teammates for making practices fun, for her family for always coming to support her and Riley because she told her to thank her.

 

KALE MEREDITH Kale is the son of Mike & Julie Meredith.

 

Kale has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years. He ran cross country for four years and will compete in track and field for his third season this spring. Kale swam on the Otters swim team and Wells Community swim team for eight years.

 

Kale’s favorite swim memories were going to watch state, staying in the hotel and playing watermelon ball.

 

Kale’s future plans include attending Purdue Fort Wayne to pursue a Civil Engineering degree. Kale would like to thank his coaches for always pushing him to work harder, encouraging him, and for ensuring that we still have fun during practices and meets. He would also like to thank his family for supporting him.


ETHAN WILLIAMSON – Ethan is the son of Scott & Nicole Williamson.

 

Ethan has been a member of the Norwell Swim program for four years.  He played tennis for three years and will participate in track and field for his fourth season this spring.  Ethan has swam for the Wells Otters and Wells Community swim teams for four years. He has been a member of the National Honor Society for two years.

 

Ethan’s favorite swim memory was playing watermelon ball in the hotel pool at state.

 

Ethan’s future plans include attending  Purdue Fort Wayne to pursue an Elementary Education degree. He would like to thank his coaches and teammates for always motivating and supporting him.
