2016 Huntington North graduate Hannah Stoffel was honored by the school’s athletic department, during Tuesday night’s Lady Viking basketball game.
Stoffel, a high school standout in track, cross country and basketball, recently won the NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Championship.
Stoffel, a junior at Huntington University, finished the November 22nd race in 17:18.4. Her time bested the nearest competitor by more than 16 seconds.
Paced by Stoffel’s first place finish, Huntington University placed 10th in the team standings, representing the highest ever placing for the women’s team.
